2013 was a big achievement for me. I have travelled to three countries, those are Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea. Trip to South Korea was the most amazing and meaningful, not only it was the furthest but also I gained many new expperience in 9 days trip.
For now, I want to tell you about the accomodation while I were in South Korea back in November. It was a long, exhausted, yet amazing and mezmerizing journey. In 9 days I have visited three cities, Busan, Jeonju and Seoul. I planned the trip with my mother, despite of the rush of work in my office. So we decided that I get to work on the itirenary, and consulted with my litlle sister who studied in South Korea, while my mother planned the accomodation, including look for the hotel and book it.
There are some siteportals that provide information about accomodation in many places. Instead of go to the destination and find the hotel later, it is necessary to book it prior to the journey. These are the site that useful to find accomodation (for Indonesian): booking.com, asiatravel, agoda etc.
In Busan, we live in Busan Hansung (안성) Motel. We really tried to find the hotel that are affordable to us yet comfortable and near the city and tourist destination. It was difficult to us, either the hotel are expensive or the location are not strategic. Therefore, we found the hotel in booking.com website and decided to book the hotel.
I will tell you the experience in Busan Hansung Motel. It costs us approximately 60.000 won in one day. We stayed for 2 days, so it was nearly 120.000 won. We were a group of four, thus it was not too expensive for us, since it will merely cost about 15.000 won for a day (around 150.000 idr). We did not expect a lot, on the other hand, we quite enjoyed the hotel.
It is located near the Busan Station, around 500-700 m. From the internet i learned that Busan Station is likely the centre of the city. First time we came to the motel, we already had the reservation from booking.com, however we confused since the owner did not able to speak english. It is a realive that we had Lia, who can speak in Korean so she helped us to talk to the hotel owner. It is also a lesson to us to learn daily conversation in Korean if we go to city city other than Seoul, especially for us who go ourselves without travel agency.
The hotel is clean and spacious. The only problem is they do not have a lift. Consequently we had to lift our super heavy luggage to our room in the 2nd story. In the room there are clean bathroom. Unfortunately I did not take any single picture of the hotel. But you can google it if you interested.
We spent the rest of our day in Korea in Jimmy pastel apartment. I told you before that we will lived in Hongdae Uncle Hotel, but we changed our mind and picked Jimmy Pastel Apartment based on the reviews in internet. And... I will tell about Jimmy Pastel Apartment later :D
